A feeling felt through your distress, depression and despair
You were abandoned, left behind and needed someone there
I heard the pain, that burned so deep that seared from deep within
And so I said what seemed so right that you did not need him

And felt that I could love you, that you would be my choice

But what that night would bring I just couldn’t see

So suddenly emotions rose and carried all before

How long it slumbered I don’t know nor where it quietly hid

The emotions that I felt, were ones I’d never known

Was I in love with who you were or what you represented
Was my love a wish fulfilled? By you to be repented?
