Hello, following a mountaineering accident in Glencoe in 1991, John Makin has suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder which led to his early retirement.

These writings started from his experiences, as a form of therapy, and have developed to a range of writings in which all the thoughts and opinions are entirely his own.

“From There To Here” (copyright © John Makin) were his first writings, in verse, collected into a short book which was published privately in 2000
(ISBN: 1 903263 11 5).

He has built this web site with the thought that someone, somewhere, may find it of interest or even, perhaps, helpful.
